//I lost most of my pictures because my phone died and was not recoverable. I found some pictures predating this catastrophe.

Over this past year, I have grown my creative abilities. I started out creating standard projects such as the Maker Quals project. Throughout the year, my creativity progressively grew; I began taking greater risks with my projects. My most exploratory project this year was the Prosthetic Limb project, and the most challenging project was the Yard Art project due to the amount of restrictions and preconceived ideas.

I excelled in the exploratory standard for the Prosthetic Limb project. First, I started out by testing materials without reading or asking the right questions from the right people. Then, I reached out to my biology teacher, to explore the foundations of the human muscular system. Experimenting on the muscles on our own bodies, with this knowledge, made for fun lab environments with unknowing test subjects. By attaching the electrodes to multiple people with multiple muscle structures, we identified the most optimal placement of the electrodes.

The Yard Art project was challenging because of the lack of innovation I thought I could bring to the project. We had to take take someone else’s creative identity and use it as our own project. This is especially tough if an innovator already has a creative identity. The part I did enjoy of this project was troubleshooting the 3D printers that died on us that allowed for me to utilize the test standard.

Through these projects, every standard has been expressed in one way or another. This website showcases my final standard, sharing, as a way to communicate what I’ve learned through this past year.
